Thanks for stopping by. I’ve been a TV news producer for five years and counting. Over the years I’ve managed reporters, sourced and written news scripts for TV and web, and handling breaking news while keeping cool and collected. Between all that, I can edit video as well as I can edit a package script, and AP Style is my love language. Outside of work you’ll find me buried in a game, planning my next trip, or brainstorming jokes with my partner.

10 PM Newscast Producer Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
News 9 is the #1-rated station in the Oklahoma City TV news market.
As 10 PM producer, I source, write, edit, and execute a 30 minute newscast 5 days a week.
Oversee reporters daily, from pitch meetings to reading and copy-editing scripts.
Watching for new stories to confirm, write, and/or assign through press releases, social media, and live emergency scanners.
Work closely with our digital news team to develop SEO and web analytics skills.
Feb. 2020 – Feb. 2022
Weekend Evening Newscast Producer
Produced four newscasts (two hour-long, two 30-minute) each Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Operated as weekend manager; overseeing assignment editors, associate producers, reporters, video editors, and digital journalists.
Edited video for newscasts through AVID (with previous experience in Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.)
September 2018 - February 2020
Weekend Morning Newscast Producer
Produced two three-hour newscasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Managed associate producers and on-call reporters/photographers, listened to police scanners, and scheduled & wrangled in-studio live interviews.
